The XXXI Congress took place at site of the 32nd World Gliding Championships in the Open-, 18m-, 15m Class, Uvalde, Texas USA, from 8-15 August 2012. The congress adresses all scientific and technical aspects of soaring flight including motorgliding, hanggliding, paragliding, ultralight sailplanes and aeromodelling.
